The end of the world: Ushuaia, Argentina

The southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia is situated in the southern Andes Mountains. Although an ideal climate for a splendid assortment of wildlife, many humans find it a bit too chilly. Rather than allow the territory to be abandoned and taken over by the Chileans, Argentina offered residents exemption from income taxes. This move proved successful, and the population grew to a sustainable level, leaving Argentina in charge of the end of the world.
