The sequoia’s bark is naturally flame-resistant. In fact, the giants of the forest require an occassional fire to keep out more flammable neighbors and excessive ground cover. This last point is especially important as the sequoia’s cones only release their seeds in extreme heat.
Were we made strong enough to resist the fires of our lives too, but forgot?
